Kaneshie Presbyterian Trombone choir was established in the
year 1998, September 13th. The first National Conference held at Agogo a suberb of Ashanti Region in that year saw
four (4) members of the choir attending. The founding members as affectionately called are as follows; Bro. Ransford P. Mensah,
Bro. William Asare, Bro. Samuel Attram Adams and Sis. Lawrencia Darko.
In 1999, the month of September, Kaneshie Presbyterian was ordained into
the Presbyterian Brass Band Guild(National) at Kaneshie Presby Church in Accra-Ghana when the National Conference
was held.A musical competion was drawn which saw the choir performing poorly because it was her first time.
From 2000 to 2003 the Choir surprisingly took the lead in the competition being
held annually and yet to continue the unbeaten record in 2004 and beyond.
The Choir can now boast of about 50members but because of shortage of instrumemts
only 25members are active. Our most cherished personnel is Rev. Emmanuel Agyem Frempong. It was through the then District
Minister(Rev. Emmanuel Agyem Frempong) who cohincidentally served as the national advisor to the Presbyterian Brass
Band Guild effort that today we have Kaneshie Presbyterian Trombone Choir.
The Choir has six Executives namely;
